Below is LEGO's policy on military toys.

“We have a strict policy regarding military models, and therefore, we do not produce tanks, helicopters, etc. While we always support the men and women who serve their country, we prefer to keep the play experiences we provide for children in the realm of fantasy.”

Yes, many of their licensed themes have pushed this idea to the line (maybe even crossed it), but we LEGO creators can go further in arming our minifigures. Below are my videos on how to make some military war vehicles found above and below the water.
